Freaky No More

Well I did it! For years I avoided baby stores. When I absolutely had to, I would run in as fast as I could to grab a gift and leave quickly. But today I entered the doors of Babies-R-Us... I even wondered if the special parking place marked with a stork in the front of the lot was for people like me. "Parking for Expectant Mothers Only"... I decided I should probably honor the moms who are already carrying visible evidence!

It was an interesting trip to the baby store. I was shocked to realize that a car seat I thought I wanted was worth a little more than half the value of Steve's truck. But I was also amazed at how many things they had that we have talked about needing. It's so great to see it all in one store like that.

Last week, I went to a Disney store that is going out of business. I did a total impulse buy and purchased all of the Pooh characters... I guess we are doing the babies' room in Pooh - Disney version. Steve has decided to paint a mural on the wall from one of the Pooh books. What fun we are having!

So I guess the freaky part is over! On the last day of school, one of the parents brought in two tie-dyed onesies to celebrate the twin babies of the 60's era dad!

We hope to hear next week that our dossier is actually in China. Our facilitator with the adoption agency is planning to send it in next week.
