Stay-At-Home-Dad's First Week
6: 00 Alarm
Coffee, talk, Lorraine gets ready for school
7:00 AM Lorraine leaves for school
somewhere between 7:15 to 8:00 Tian starts talking and I go get her
uncover the bird cage
give the dogs treats
change diaper
make oatmeal
feed the baby
somewhere between 8:45 and 9:45 Tian plays by herself (hopefully) and I do email, read the NY-Times on the web, do the dishes and some cleaning up. If I have anytime I pay bills, write up this blog, download pictures from the camera--and wish i could do some writing on the book.
somewhere between 8:45 and 9:45, today 9:30, she seeks me out and crawls to find me--today, three yards. We then practice walking, read books, shake our tambourines and dance--Until she starts whining.
I then fix her bottle, change her diaper and put her down for a nap. Today I put her down at 11AM, I type this up and then do a quick pickup and get her food ready for lunch. Now I take my shower and get dressed.
Soon I hear her stirring and talking to herself so I get her and change her diaper.
Then I feed her lunch
We get dressed
Play
Then go on a little outing with the dogs down to the creek, just waiting until Mommy gets home
Yippee! Mommy get home, so Dad runs to the grocery store to get a couple of items for supper.
I hurry back, cook, and put dinner on the table
I then clean up while Mommy gives the baby a bath and a bottle and puts her to bed.
Dad goes to bed, too. 8PM
